Cricket happened to Sanjay Yadav by chance. Born in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and raised in Hosur in Tamil Nadu, Sanjay Yadav took cricket by chance. It was tennis ball cricket that fascinated young Yadav until his school PT teacher urged him to practice with a leather ball. From there on, Sanjay religiously took to his practice and with immense hard work began to grow in prominence. Later, the Tamil Nadu Premier League came in as a boom to him where Yadav is believed to have cashed in on the experience. A slow left arm spinner and a lower order batsman, he was brought by the Knight Riders for a base price of 10 Lakh.
